Initiated during the year 2019 and was implemented during the year 2020, this on-going project is conceived on hub and spoke model and aims at end-to-end demonstrations of commercial cut flower Dendrobium production technology right at the village level on cluster-based approach for farmers of Assam and Meghalaya. Two hubs of 1000 m² units, one each at Bio-Resources Development Centre, Upper Shillong, Meghalaya and the other at IHT- Assam was established for technology demonstration and providing sustainability to 25 beneficiaries at village level units in both the states with an area of 80 m² net house to all the beneficiaries.
The project has provided complete inputs to farmers including Tissue Cultured quality plants, orchid house, growing media, fertilizers and other inputs
