Ornamental fish
The state of Meghalaya is found to be rich in its ichthyofaunistic diversity. The documentation on ornamental fishes in Meghalaya was carried out to update and document the diversity of ornamental fishes in the streams and rivers of Meghalaya.So far, the documentation covers Myntang river in West Jaintia Hills; Umiam River, Umtung river and SdatUmraleng from Ri-Bhoi district; Umngot River, Wahrew River from East Khasi Hills; Simsang River and Siju Cave from South Garo Hills.
