As part of the continuous effort/measure to empower farmers as Master Trainers, the Centre is executing one of the strategies for identification of farmers by collaborating with Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA), Meghalaya. In this collaborative initiative, a total of 710 Master Trainers have been trained. These Master Trainers will subsequently conduct similar trainings in different villages within the state of Meghalaya.
The 1st Phase Training of Trainers on Sustainable Green Technology (SGT) which comprises of composting technologies, Organic Growth Promoter (OGP), Bio-pesticides, Vermi-wash, Vertical farming, Bio Inoculants propagation, etc, was conducted at different locations/centers viz; Bio Resources Development Center (BRDC) Upper Shillong, COLKS Training Center Mawlai Umshing, TOILS Training Center Mawlai Mawroh, COLKS Training Center Mylliem, Mawsawa, Laskein C&RD Office, Laskein, West Jaintia Hills, Jirang C&RD Block Office, Jirang, Ri Bhoi District.
The 2nd Phase Training of Farmers on Sustainable Green Technologies (SGT) which comprises of composting technologies, Organic Growth Promoter (OGP), Bio-pesticides, Vermi-wash, Vertical farming, Bio Inoculants propagation, etc, was conducted at different Villages and Districts of Meghalaya. In this initiative, a total of more than 4500 farmers have been benefitted through Trainings/Hands on Demonstration trained by Master Trainers.
