On being notified as the Organic Certifying Agency (OCA) from the Government of Meghalaya vide Notification no. PLR.15/2020/4 dated Shillong the 27th February 2020, the Bio-Resources Development Centre (BRDC) as the nodal agency has created the Meghalaya State Organic Certification Body (MSOCB) which shall function as full autonomy for its organic certification activities as per NPOP guidelines.

The MSOCB is under the process for obtaining the accreditation as a Certification Body as per NPOP under APEDA, Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Government of India.
