Distribution of PGS-India Standard Manual, Enumeration of Organic Farmer’s Pledge and Agreement Signing

Post the approval of the online registration, the Centre conducts a program with the registered Local Groups for the distribution of PGS-India standard manuals and other relevant documents that will guide the farmers in their organic farming practices and the organic certification process. The manuals distributed have been translated in to local languages of Meghalaya i.e., Khasi and Garo language.

During the program the Local Groups are also made to recite the organic farmer’s pledge which will enable them to understand and to abide by the standard guidelines as per the PGS-India certification system. Agreement signing between the registered Local Groups in the presence of all the members of the Local Group and their facilitators as well as the representative from the Regional Council- Bio-Resources Development Centre is held after the approval of the online registration.
